During the late 1960's tungsten carbide was first introduced as a material in hot rolling mills. Principally, they are used to offer high wear resistance combined with sufficient toughness. As a consequence of these requirements, HENGCHENG places great emphasis on grade selection and development activities. Our hardmetal hot mill rolls are manufactured to customer specifications. Solid carbide rings as well as composite rolls can be supplied fully ground, inclusive of pass grooves. The latest available manufacturing technology is applied to the production process to ensure component integrity.
